My son/daughter is away at college. Can s/he still vote?
Yes, they can vote by Absentee ballot. They must be Registered to vote first, which can be done by mail if needed. See "How Do I Register", above.

I will be out of town on Election Day. Can I still vote?
Yes, you can vote via Absentee Ballot.

When is the last day to get Absentee ballot?
The Absentee ballot must be requested from the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall in enough time for them to mail the Absentee ballot to your home address. Therefore, 12:00 noon on the day before Election Day, is the cut-off.

Can't I just pick up an Absentee Ballot at Town Hall and vote right then and there?
No, an Absentee ballot must be mailed to you; you cannot pick it up. Therefore the request must come no less than a full day before Election Day to allow for the mail.  

When is the last day to vote by Absentee ballot?
The Absentee ballot must be delivered personally or via mail/courier to the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall by the time the polls close on Election Day.
